Experiences BC

The Experiences BC program is designed to assist sector associations and consortiums to develop and promote a market-ready tourism product with a provincial focus.

The Opportunity

The Experiences BC program offers a range of tools, proven resources and customized sector assistance, including the development of a multi-year sector marketing plan. Objectives of the program include:

  • Integrated Marketing: Achieve increased integration within product sectors that operate across all regions of the province with community, regional and provincial tourism marketing initiatives.
  • Working With New Industry Sectors: Assist “new and emerging” tourism product sectors to develop market-ready products and experiences.
  • Increased Visitation: Generate new or extended tourism-related visits, activities or higher yields.
  • Revenue Generation: Add incremental tourism revenue at the provincial, regional or community level.
  • Enhanced Product Utilization: Improve the utilization of existing sector capacity and reduce the impacts of seasonality.
  • 2010 Opportunities: Maximize interest in BC as a tourism destination leading up to and beyond the 2010 Winter Olympic & Paralympics Games.

Who should participate?

Organizations or consortiums representing provincial product sectors who would like to work with Tourism BC to help develop their collective product offering to a more market-ready state.
