Do you have a great image of your employees that could be featured on the front cover of a new Tourism BC guide?

Tourism BC is currently producing a Human Resources guide for the industry and is searching for a front cover image. We are looking for a photo of tourism employees at their place of work. A uniform is not required, but they would need to be easily identifiable as employees helping a visitor in some capacity. For the successful image, a credit will be included within the guide. Please submit your photo(s) in .jpeg format to Alison Brookfield by Monday, May 1. If a photo is selected from the submissions, the business will be contacted by May 8 to supply a photo in high resolution format.

Williams Lake, Lilloet, Osoyoos and Trail to host Sport Tourism Workshops in April

The Sport Tourism workshop is offered by Tourism British Columbia and is a 3-hour course that is designed to assist participants in understanding how the sport and tourism industries can work together to ensure that sporting events are a success for the entire community. The workshop provides time for brainstorming, including exploring the community's facilities inventory, previous and targeted sport event hosting opportunities and social capital.

Through their participation in the workshop, attendees have a better understanding of:

  • the tourism industry
  • international, national, provincial and local sport tourism
  • available tools and resources
  • the BC sport system and best practices
